Welcome to Logos, the undergraduate journal for the Department of Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies at UBC!
We endeavor to highlight exceptional work that pertains to the ancient world created by undergraduate students. For our tenth issue, we seek to include works in media beyond academic essays- we want to encourage submissions of translations, visual art pieces (including photographs), and creative writing excerpts. A journal composed of reflections on the ancient world that take shape in a range of mediums will provide a vast corpus of UBC’s diverse student voices. These varying forms of expression will offer new perspectives on ancient cultures, and provide refreshing commentaries on past scholarship.
